My photo
I'm a photographer from a small town who started photographing at a young age. Photography has been in my family for generations. I find enjoyment in the simple things, in the details, and pretty much anything that appeals to my eye. I think anything can be made into something that is considered artistic or beautiful in at least one persons eyes. My artistic style is very flexible, I love taking abstract pictures as well as conceptual pieces, detail shots, and portraits. I've worked in wedding photography and enjoy documenting someones day, event, and special occasion. The first wedding photography business I worked for was Everlasting Images, a photography business located in Ohio. I am now doing wedding photography with TMP (Thomas Mckown Photography), check out the site and blog via: Thomas Mckown Photography.

Our sensible hearts.

Amanda (my sister) and Ed (her fiancé) tagged along on the trip to Amish Country. After a dress fitting we all met up and I got to take some snapshots/candids of the couple. These two recently got engaged and I couldn't be happier. They're simply perfect for one another. :)

We live in a beautiful world...

Thursday, the family and I went on a trip to Amish Country. The beautiful hills and the quiet simple living was relaxing, and was a perfect reason to bring my camera. Amish country brought antique shopping, fudge, lots of cheese, and a buggy ride, where I met Sam a very photogenic happy horse who posed for the camera. Overall the trip was fun and I can't wait to plan another visit. It's so nice to get away for awhile and just relax and enjoy the simple things in life. It also reminds me to always bring my camera where ever I go, cause I almost forgot to!

Oh, and did I mention I love my 50mm lens? :D

These many detailed things.

Welcome to my new blog! :)

As an introduction of all my photographs to come,
I've finally gotten around to taking photographs of my newly designed room and thought that this would be a wonderful way to introduce you to my blog.

Here are some shots I recently took of the finer details. The room was inspired by zen and of course Buddhism. I've always been in love with warm colors and having a calm surrounding, and this room gives me exactly the vibe I was aiming to achieve.

You may click on the photographs to get a larger view.

Enjoy!
